We’ve narrowed down Europe’s EDM festivals to give you the ultimate top 10 list for 2019. It’s a varied one, offering festivals ranging from1 to 5 days, between April to October, set everywhere from the mountains of Austria to the beaches in Croatia. Whatever you fancy we’ve listed sun, sea, snow and even an indoor festival!

As the name suggests Snowbombing is a little bit different from most of the EDM festivals in Europe, as it’s set in the snowy mountains of Austra! Celebrating their 20th year of Snowbombing, this year promises to be the best yet. There are no tents, just luxury spa hotels, picturesque views, apres skiing and of course incredible music. From igloo raves to paragliding, this festival is certainly different from the norm. This year’s lineup includes Chase & Status, Jungle, Stormzy, My Nu Leng, Andy C, Hannah Wants, Maribou State, Waze & Odyssey and many many more. Location: Split, Croatia

Set over 5 days, on a beautiful beach in Split, Hideout promises performances and DJ sets from 150 of the biggest names in EDM. They have 5 open-air venues and tonnes of parties including pre-parties, pool parties, boat parties, beach parties and after parties! There are also loads of activities like water sports, quad biking, beach bungee jumping and island hopping at the UNESCO world heritage Plitvice Lakes National Park. Hideout’s lineup features Gorgon City, Shy FX, Hannah Wants, Prospa, Horse Meat Disco, Holy Goof, Emerald and more.

Commencing its 7th edition, 2019’s takes places in the gorgeous Salzkammergut lake district, the Salzburg Ring, Electric Love Festival is surrounded by mountains, forest, and stunning nature. This is Austria’s biggest electronic music festival, so get ready for the entire genre of electronic music to make a feature; they’ve got it all from EDM to Drum'n'Bass, House to Techno. As mentioned, the lineup is diverse across the EDM genre and sub-genres with some of the biggest artists from across the globe including Afrojack, Diplo, Marshmellow, DJ Snake, Skiy, Deetox, Holy Goof, Flug B2B Simp Lorenz and more. There are whole stages with lineups that haven’t been announced yet, so there’s plenty more to come. Ticket prices start from as little as €22 for the warm-up party and range to €650 for their Diamond Sky Lounge and there’s plenty available between the two.

Located on the largest Lake City in Europe, Balaton Sound is the perfect combination of EDM rave and beaches. Co-created by the organisers of Sziget Festival, it’s no surprise Balaton Sound has some of the industries brightest and best. Showcasing artists from Pop and Hip-Hop on top of it’s EDM heavy lineup, household names and underground artists all get the opportunity to play. You can expect to see performances from The Chainsmokers, G-Eazy, Marshmellow, Sean Paul, Jess Glynn, Rudimental, Gryffen, Buddy and more this year. Beach festivals are always good fun and a beach is one of the best places to relax when you’re feeling hungover.

Ultra Europe is set on the Dalmatian Coast, at the Poljud Stadium in Split, Croatia, promising dusk to dawn dancing, from the best artists in electronic music. Using the best sound and lighting production, combined with incredible stage design to ensure the experience of a lifetime. Part of the worldwide Ultra family, Ultra Europe is a 3-day festival within a festival, it forms part of the 7-day (11th-17th July 2019) wonder that makes up Ultra Destination. It’s packed with top Techno, EDM, Trance and House artists and DJ’s and boasts 120,000+ attendees (AKA Ultranauts). The only artists confirmed to be performing at 2019’s festival so far is Swedish House Mafia. Previous years have seen sets and performances from the likes of David Guetta, DJ Snake, Steve Aoki, Galantis, Carl Cox, Dr Phunk and hundreds more. Despite not knowing this year’s lineup it’s clear the festival is safe hands, attracting some of the best names in the industry.

Beginning in 2005, Tomorrowland has rapidly grown to one of the biggest and more renowned EDM festivals across the world. In under 14 years, it has become a household name, known by EDM and other music fans alike. Tomorrowland boasts two electronic music filled weekends situated between Antwerp and Brussels at the recreation area De Schorre in Boom, Belgium. Each year tells a story with this labelled “The Book of Wisdom, The Return”. Weekend 1 features Martin Garrix, The Chainsmokers, Steve Aoki, Eric Pyrdz, Fjaak (live), Above & Beyond and more. Meanwhile weekend 2 features Alesso, The Chainsmokers, Eric Pyrdz, Loco Dice, Martin Solveig (live), Carl Cox and more. Despite still being in its infancy and only celebrating their 5th anniversary this year, Untold is already one of the largest EDM festivals in Europe with over 300,00 attendees. Along with your EDM faves, Untold offer something for everyone, with pop and mainstream artists performing as well. This year promises David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Bastille, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Andy C, Subfocus B2B Wilkinson and more. On top of the star-studded lineup, they have top of the range of visual production to give you the ultimate experience. Untold attracts attendees from across Europe and is one of the most affordable with ticket prices starting at just €141.90 for a full 4-day festival ticket.

Now in its 21st year, Creamfields certainly knows what it’s doing, featuring the biggest and best from the electronic music scene. From a humble 1 day event of 25,000 people to the EDM extravaganza, which now sees 70,000 attendees through its gates each day at the 4-day festival! The 2019 lineup boasts the likes of Creamfields B.Traits, Chase & Status, Deadmau5, Duke Dumont, Fat Boy Slim, Hot Since 82, Annie Mac and many many more. Creamfields is a leader in the EDM festival scene offering everything from mainstream to fresh new and underground artists. Set in the gorgeous Cheshire countryside, it might be an idea to prepare for all weathers as the UK is notorious for its unpredictable weather, but don’t let that deter you!

Mysteryland is about a collective electronic music experience a self-claimed “colourful collaboration of party animals, artists, DJs, and creatives”, featuring a diverse and picturesque landscape of ponds, forests, fields, hills, and rivers. They have over 300 artists performing across a whopping 17 stages, featuring House, Big Room, EDM, Bass, Techno, Deep-House, Trance, Trap, Minimal, Hardstyle, Hardcore, RnB and Hip Hop. This is an all-round experience with chill-out zones, yoga, food courts, art installations, a Healing Garden and boat trips. There’s plenty to tantalize all the senses. Martin Garrix, Sigala, Sam Feldt (live), Lucus & Steve, Luna, Zany, Dany Howard and Jonas Blue are just some of the incredible lineup at Mysteryland.

A little different from the other festivals on our list is AMF, as it is the biggest INDOOR music festival. Lasting only 1 day in mid-October this is the perfect option to help stifle those post-festival and post-summer blues.
