Electric Daisy Carnival (Las Vegas) is one of the most Instagrammed festivals, so it’s understandable Japan’s version deserves to be mentioned. Just like its American sister festival EDC Japan has it all, the wild sets and stages, crazy costumed performers and carnivals, fireworks, art installations, giant flowers, zip wires, lasers, ball pits, festoons, banners, bunting, oh and did we mention there's a beach? There are gorgeous colours as far as the eye can see and plenty of beautiful places to use as selfie backdrops.

Fuji Rock Festival

Date: 26-28th July 2019

Fuji Rock is set in the Naeba Ski Resort, at the bottom of, you guessed it, Mount Fuji. Straight away you’re surrounded by gorgeous mountains and an abundance of nature, which is always perfect for your Instagram feed. On top of the luscious backdrop, festival organisers have created beautiful decor and installations, from bunting to disco balls and forests filled with fairy lights. It’s a beautiful, dreamlike haven, away from the hustle and bustle of Japan’s busy cities. It’s also heralded as one of the cleanest festivals in the world, so you won’t have to worry about nasty bits of litter in all your photos.

As an arts, music and lifestyle festival it’s hardly surprising Wonderfruit is on this list. It’s filled to the brim with beautiful aesthetics, stages, and installations. With tons of billowing fabrics, giant pompoms, dreamcatchers flown by drones, bunting, and garlands you’re transported into a dreamy atmosphere. The costumes worn by interactive performers are often so intricate and utterly stunning, you won’t be able to resist taking a few snaps. There’s also hundreds of festoons to light the way at night and plenty of palm trees highlighting the tropical paradise you find yourself in. Art is one of the focal points of the festival, so there’s plenty of pieces scattered around the festival site, some are even interactive, which makes for a great Instagram post.

Date: 27th December 2019 - 7th January 2020

Location: Phu Quoc, Vietnam

Epizode is a 24-hour island party lasting a whopping 12 days, it’s certainly an incredible way to start the new year. From the gorgeous beach aesthetic to the vibrant paint fight there’s plenty to photograph here. With a focus on modern art, there’s plenty of installations and artistic pieces to find. You might not always understand them, like a door that leads nowhere, but it certainly makes a great Insta post. Epizode proves festivals on sandy white beaches, surrounded by palm trees are more than possible.

DJakarta Warehouse Project

As the biggest annual EDM festival in Asia, it’s not surprising they know what they’re doing. If you’re going to do an EDM festival there better be lots of bright colours, lights and spectacular visuals and DJakarta Warehouse Project certainly has it all. It has some of the most amazing stage setups we’ve ever seen, often taking on the form of giant animalistic robotic themes. They complete the look with fireworks, lasers and numerous screens, so there are plenty of dynamic moments to capture.
