There’s just something about humans ranking other humans that gets people hooked don’t ya think?
It’s weird and we don’t understand it, not really, but we’re not lying when we say we’re just as much suckers for it like the next guy.
About a day ago, DJ Mag, named their top 100 DJs of 2020, and how would we be a music infused company, if we don’t list them out for you, right here right now, right?
So, without wasting time, here are your top 10 DJs of 2020, ranked!

#10 Timmy Trumpet

Australian musician, DJ and songwriter, Timmy Trumpet is known for his use of, well, the trumpet as well as making use of jazz elements in his music. He gained international recognition back in 2015, when his 12th single ‘Freaks’ was released. Last year, Timmy stood at the 13th spot on DJ Mag’s top 100 DJs.

#9 Steve Aoki

Collaborating with various artists like, Afrojack, LMFAO, Linkin Park, Iggy Azalea, Lil Jon, blink-182, Korean acts BTS and Monsta X, and many others, Aoki’s career breakthrough was in 2010-2012, when he released his first solo album called ‘Wonderland’. The album featured many big names, and he grew from there on out. Last year, Aoki stood at number 10 on the list.

#8 Oliver Heldens

Coming in at number 8 is Dutch DJ, Oliver Heldens. Garnering over a billion streams on Spotify in December 2019, Heldens first entered DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs list, back in 2014, and that time debuted at number 34. Last year, Heldens claimed the 7th spot on the list, before dropping down a rank.

#7 Afrojack

Originally named Nick van de Wall, Afrojack began his DJ’ing days back when he was only 14 years old! 2011 was the year, he first secured a spot inside the top 10. Collaborating with so many famous artists since then, and even creating his own radio show called ‘Essential Mix’ on BBC Radio 1, the musician successfully upped his position by two spots from last year.

#6 Don Diablo

Another Dutch DJ, Don Diablo actually worked his way up the list from number 82, 6 years ago, when he first managed to get on. Making a remarkable jump, a year after that, he rose to 52 on the list, and then to number 30 in 2015. Being awarded then, with ‘highest climber of the year’, Diablo retained his spot in 2020 from last year.

#5 Alok

Number 5 on the list is Brazilian DJ and record producer Alok. He pursued a solo career at the age of 19, and was even awarded ‘Best DJ in Brazil’ by House Mag for both 2014 and 2015. He debuted on the list in 2016 at number 25, and claimed the 5th spot this year, from the 11th last year.

#4 Armin Van Buuren

Originating from Holland, Buuren is another Dutch DJ who made it onto the top 10 this year. Shooting off his career in the early 2000’s, in 07’ Buuren was elected best DJ in the world for DJ Mag. Releasing 7 studio albums, latest being ‘Balance’, the talented musician maintained his spot from 2019.

#3 Martin Garrix

Not much to say about this famous icon so many already know about, but Garrix was one of the youngest DJs, to headline a music festival at the age of only 17! From collaborations, record deals, documentaries, awards, philanthropy, residency, even modelling and so many other achievements, we’re hardly surprised at where Garrix stands on the list. The musician did however, drop down a spot this year as compared to last.

#2 Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike

Greek Gods, I mean, brothers, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike claimed the number 2 on the list this year. Although a drop from where they were last year, this duo has been on fire ever since they started back in 2009. In 2013, they collaborated with Martin Garrix and released their hit ‘Tremor’. The song then went on to be named their best song by the Billboard!

#1 David Guetta

And your best DJ of 2020 is none other than, French favourite and extraordinaire, David Guetta! Achieving the same title back in 2011, the musician took 9 years, but came back to claim his spot at the top. Starting in 1987, he got his career breakthrough in 2010, when his fourth studio album ‘One Love’ was nominated best EDM album at the 52 Annual Grammy Awards. Last year, Guetta stood at number 3.
