There’s not a lot I can say about Bali that hasn’t already been said. It is my personal favourite when it comes to holiday destinations in Asia and is home to some of the most relaxing and craziest beach clubs.

Navigating Bali’s beach clubs is a daunting task and one that is quite time-consuming. Although if you already know where to go, you’re more likely to have a good time and re-visit. Each of the beach clubs selected within this list have their own uniqueness and serve both a niche and the mass.

Potato Head Beach Club

Location: Seminyak, Bali

Cocktail Prices: 110k - 140k (IDR)

Potato Head Beach Club - a venue that is set apart by its idyllic tropical setting and an amphitheatre structure, featuring an iconic facade of coloured antique shutters, salvaged from across Indonesia. Potato Head is also known for its delicious pizza’s and cocktails, from the fun-to-drink Daquiri Natural to the intoxicating Moscow Mule - I highly recommend you buy a couple pizza’s with a bucket of beer and get to work on that dad bod.

We would highly recommend to get there nice and early to take advantage of the day beds guaranteeing a scenic view that you will not forget. Fade away into the sand and ocean to the smooth tunes of Potato Heads carefully curated local and international DJs.

Not only is it a place to lounge about and drink away the day but it’s also on the forefront of the festival industry, putting on some of the biggest live shows the tropical island has witnessed.

I haven’t even told you the best part, you can catch performances by world-class DJs thanks to being owned by the Hakkasan Group.

Tropicola Beach Club

Location: Seminyak, Bali

Cocktail Prices: 120k (IDR)

Picture this, the golden Bali sand, lounging around a pool, palm trees swaying with the wind, and free-flowing cocktails. Does this sound like the tropical paradise of your dreams? Of course, it does. This is Bali’s freshest beach club which is the 80s inspired Tropicola, from the same team that gave us Motel Mexicola - a haven for tequila drinkers.

The idea behind Tropicola was to create something unique, where tourists and locals alike could shade from the scorching heat and yet still be able to take in the sun as it reflects off the Indian Ocean. This will definitely give you Miami and Playa Del Carmen-esque vibes. As they would say in the 1980’s - gnarly!

Sundays Beach Club

Bonfires by the sea at sunset. Need I say any more?

It’s called Sundays Beach Club for a reason, the ethos and theme behind it is quite simply every day here is a Sunday!

Ocean view dining, half-price cocktail hours, live music, water sports and a spa - they have done a great job at making sure no matter who you are you’ll enjoy it and relax as if it’s a Sunday.

La Brisa - quite literally translates to ‘the breeze’ and comes from the squad that brought you La Favela, La Plancha and La Laguna. Nestled on the foreshore of Echo Beach, 100% built from the reclaimed wood of 500+ old fisherman boats and expertly hand decorated - and let me tell you that it is absolutely breathtaking.

A trendy and eco-friendly beach club with genuine Balinese hospitality.
