Gathering at a private venue which overlooked the sea in Malibu, California, Chadwick Boseman’s closest family and friends, recently came together to bid farewell to the great actor.
His family as well as his ‘Black Panther’ colleagues including wife Taylor Simone Ledward, Lupita Nyong’o and Michael B. Jordon were present. The memorial service featured a table with the late actor’s photographs as well as flowers, while a hang drum played in the background.
It was an intimate, heartwarming gathering, done as a means to celebrate both his life and death in the best way possible.
Boseman was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer in 2016, and for four years he battled the illness. He kept it secret, because he treasured his privacy, didn’t want to make a big fuss about it and thoroughly believed that he would beat it.
During those years, the late star led in so many big films like‘Message from the King’, ‘Gods of Egypt’, ‘Captain America: Civil War’, ‘Spider-Man:Homecoming’, ‘Marshall’, ‘Black Panther’, ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, ‘Avengers: Endgame’, ‘21 Bridges’, and ‘Da 5 Bloods’.
Despite his illness, he spent those four years working tirelessly on grand movies for the masses, and at the same time fighting his disease with surgeries and chemotherapy.
Bringing so much joy to his fans worldwide and the first black superhero to black kids everywhere, Chadwick lived his life to the fullest by doing exactly what he intended to.
After touching the lives and hearts of so many, the actor passed on August 28th 2020, at a very young age of 43.
